Our reagents fall into two main categories, those for Drosophila cell culture and those for in vivo studies, and include two main technologies, RNAi and CRISPR applications. We also have reagents relevant to the study of miRNAs and for overexpression of open reading frames (ORFs).
Reagents for in vivo Drosophila studies include
- TRiP RNAi fly stocks, which can be
- learned about at our TRiP RNAi fly stocks overview page
- searched at UP-TORR (search for RNAi fly stocks vs. up-to-date gene annotations)
- searched at RSVP (view existing data on knockdown efficiency or phenotypes alongside stock information)
- requested from the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center (BDSC)
- viewed as curated lists (e.g. kinases) on our TRiP fly stocks page
- TRiP-CRISPR fly stocks, which can be
- viewed at our CRISPR fly stocks page
- searched and nominated at the DRSC/TRiP sgRNA Stock Tracking System
- molecular reagents for building your own shRNA or overexpression fly stocks based on the VALIUM series of plasmid vectors (requests via the DF/HCC DNA Resource Core PlasmID repository)
Reagents for cell-based studies are directly distributed by our facility and include
- DRSC 2.0 genome-wide RNAi library in 384-well plate format
- DRSC focused sub-libraries (e.g. kinases) in 384-well plate format
- 'cherry picks' of PCR templates from our collection for in vitro transcription in your lab
- custom 96-well format plates of dsRNAs made from templates in our collection
- for all of the above, orders should be initiated via our DRSC-FGR PPMS system
