Gal4+VPR (tissue-specific gene overexpression)

TRiP-OE VPR cross

Cross Gal4+dCas9-VPR stocks to sgRNA stocks from the TRiP-OE VPR collection (sgRNAs cloned into pCFD4) to overexpress target gene.

GAL4/UAS expression of Cas9 proteins with dead nuclease activity (dCas9), fused to VPR transcriptional activator (dCas9-VPR).

Not compatible with TRiP-OE sgRNA stocks from the flySAM collections (sgRNAs cloned into U6BsgRNA2.0 or flySAM2.0).
