DRSC/TRiP Director Dr. Stephanie Mohr will be presenting a talk titled "Optimization of CRISPR technologies for development of Drosophila disease models" at the 4th Annual Genome Editing Congress, which is April 7 through 8, 2020, in Boston, MA.
DRSC/TRiP Director S. Mohr will be attending and presenting a poster on fly in vivo functional genomics technologies and bioinformatics resources at the 78th Annual Meeting of the Society for Developmental Biology.
The DRSC and TRiP will be represented at "the fly meeting" -- the GSA Annual Drosophila Research Converence -- in March of 2019. We look forward to attending this 60th ADRC to talk RNAi, CRISPR, and other technologies; present what's new in our three areas of focuse (cell-based studies, informatics, and in vivo studies); and provide consultation on specific projects. Please feel free to reach out if you want to be sure to connect with us at the meeting. See you in Dallas!
The DRSC & TRiP will be represented at the ASCB|EMBO 2018 conference in the form of a poster that includes information about our collaboration with O. Kanca in the H. Bellen lab at Baylor College of Medicine to tag Drosophila S2R+ cell lines with GFP using a CRISPR-based strategy. We have 'painted' a number of subcellular localizations green with this approach! If you're at the meeting, check out P1482 at Board Number B494, presented by Baolong Xia of the Perrimon lab.
The DRSC & TRiP will be represented at the Harvard Medical School showcase of facilities that provide research resources and services. The event takes place Nov. 29, 2018, at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center in the New Research Building at 77 Avenue Louis Pasteur.
DRSC/TRiP-FGR Director S. Mohr will be presenting information about our resources to a regular meeting of Seattle-area fly labs on Nov. 8, 2018. Information about our cell-based technologies including CRISPR cell modification and screening; in vivo technologies including our growing collection of fly stocks for CRISPR knockout and activation; and our growing portfolio bioinformatics resources will be covered.
